Brush Back by Sara Paretsky

Brush BackThis is the 17th V I Warshawski P I detective novel set in Chicago. I was hooked from the first one and I’m still hooked on these, long may they be written.

It has all the usual ingredients, well written, a good plot, believable characters.

Vic has to go back to the south side of Chicago where she was brought up to sort out crimes from the past which link to the present. There are gangs, shady lawyers, innocent bystanders, priests, baseball, ice hockey & a mean calculating villain who gets others to do his dirty work, and some of it is very dirty indeed.

Read it, you won’t be able to put it down until you reach the conclusion.
