Here we meet Sean who is on the run under the baking sun of rural France. Things seem to be going as well as can be expected, until he steps into a man-trap on a farm property. Nearly unconscious from pain and loss of blood, he is freed and taken in by two women – daughters of the farm-owner. And it’s then that Sean’s problems really start. This book is not for the faint-hearted, and there were moments when I was getting flashbacks to Thomas Harris’ ‘Hannibal’ novel! Grizzly, but great reading!
