Lazy Days by Erlend Loe

LazyThis is a comical little read from the writer of the equally bizarre ‘Doppler‘. It’s basically a conversation between a husband (who works in the theatre) and a wife (who is a language teacher) who are on holiday in Germany (a place he detests and she loves). We follow their holiday, her attempts to encourage his holiday spirit, and his  attempts to write something ‘dramatic’. I laughed so much – particularly at his one way conversation with a German neighbour and his remarkable daydreams about Nigella Lawson!
