Beautifully written, literary and ambiguous short stories from this Booker-short-listed author.
I picked this up as one of the Writer’s Centre’s Summer Reads- and also because I read and loved The Carhullan Army by the same author. It’s an unsettling collection which has haunted me long after I finished it; largely because each of the stories leaves an unresolved question hanging.
Book groups in particular would find a great deal to discuss here
