I just picked this up off the shelf, read the blurb, thought that looks good, not too long and it was an enjoyable read which gave an insight into the ups and downs of feeling, commitment and emotions of a marriage that spans the birth and support of children as they grow and mature into adulthood and the chaos and strain of an illness with it’s powerful effect on communication. What keeps us together? What pulls us apart? What makes us want to keep parts of us from the person who thinks they know all there is to know about us? It was insightful into human nature and the need to confess all just to rid ourselves of guilt balancing against the desire to not cause harm and upset to those closest to us. Simple, quick read but with depth. Ideal if you don’t have time to commit to lengthy book!
