The writing on the wall by Gunnar Staalesen

The writing on the wall

Here we meet Varg Veum, a PI to rival Harry Hole, and a smooth, crisp dialogue reminiscent of Philip Marlowe.

It’s February in Bergen and Veum is asked to find the missing daughter of an estranged couple. He is lead into the seamier side of Bergen’s criminal underworld. Short, moody, this is a wonderful addition to the Scandinavian Crime Noir.

Enjoy
