Vanishing Point by Val McDermid

Mother and boy pass through an US airport only for the mother to witness the boy being led off by a stranger. Mum goes mad (quite right too!) and is tasered and arrested. Slowly but surely the cops decide to pay attention and the true identity of the boy is revealed.

Not what I expected from McDermid but after my initial disappointment at finding out this wasn’t a Tony Hill thriller, I was soon caught up in the suspense. Loved the change of setting and clever plotting. Recommended!

  1. I really enjoyed this gripping story. Lots of twists & turns to keep you reading. Better than the Tony Hill books!
