Five boys by Mick Jackson

The Five Boys live in wartime Devon and find excitement and adventure in their remote village the best they can. The arrival of a bee-keeper provides them with plenty of entertainment, even if he isn’t quite as he seems. The villagers, apart from enduring the naughtiness of the Five Boys, also face the arrival of the Americans preparing for D-Day, a deserter hiding out in the woods, a mummy that walks the streets at night and a dead pig carried through the lanes in a coffin.

For the villagers and the Five Boys, their lives will never be the same again.
