Vampire state of mind by Jane Lovering

Jessica Grant knows vampires only too well. She runs the York City Council tracker programme making sure ‘otherworlders’ behave themselves and keep the peace brought about by the Treaty of Aberystwyth of 1988. Most often she’s called upon to tranq wayward vampires and demons, but one night one warns her that she is in danger, that trouble is brewing , meaning an end to the world order. Jess finds she could be the key to saving the world.

This is the York not only of tea rooms and tourists, but of demons on street corners and vampires that are just too sexy for their own good.  Full of wit and humour, Lovering takes a council worker and creates a feisty heroine and I hope there’s more to come.
