Just in case by Meg Rosoff

After saving his baby brother from a fall, 15-year-old David Case decides he needs to make big changes to his life to avoid the clutches of fate. He changes his name (to Justin), leaves home and finds love. But not everything turns out as he expects. I love Meg Rosoff’s books. Beautifully written, it makes you wonder why life deals us such highs and lows, and if we really can outrun what may be fated for us. Justin is a likeable, honest and intelligent character and you are drawn into his life, his worries and disappointments.
