After the fire, a still small voice by Evie Wyld

I’m not sure how to describe this book. I just know that it was compelling reading.

It is set in Australia. The stories of Frank & Leon, two young men but from different time periods. Mistakes are made by them and their parents but no one seems to learn from them.

The story passes through both the Korean & Vietnam wars, but also involves the mystery of disappearing girls in a village in the cane fields. The story gradually builds up, keeping you motivated to reading on.

 Give this well written novel a go.
